Abstract
The thrust of the paper is on the use of family literacy as a panacea for restoring peace in Nigeria. Literacy is the key to quality life for both individuals and groups in the society. Everyone has the right to possess this key which defines the kind of life one lives. Unfortunately, many people in Nigeria are still wallowing in the world of illiteracy in this fast growing literate world. This threatens peace in Nigeria. The many problems besetting Nigeria today, the paper believes could easily be averted with the use of family literacy. The paper examines the causes of disharmony in Nigeria and prefers useful suggestions as to how best peace can be restored in Nigeria via the use of the family
literacy.
