ABSTRACT
This study examined the influence of sex — an important personality variable, and culture — an essential sociological variable, on the comprehension performance of selected Nigerian undergraduate students. Subjects were selected from the Ibo and Yoruba ethnic groups. It was found that cultural background produced significant effect on the comprehension performance of the subjects, while the effect of the sex variable was relatively negligible. T—test was used to analyze the data.
