This research paper was guided by the modern theories of language, which were concerned more, with the functions of languages than with the reasons for languages. It made some underlying assumptions that languages were functional, more specifically, than the language of Business Education was functional serving its clients in the area of entrepreneurship. Also, that languages were ”Man-made instruments ‘of communication” with their objective of
making communicators literate and enlightened. And that the language of Business Education made some appreciable contributions to the development of literacy by producing and educating entrepreneurs, It critically analysed the relationship between literacy and the Business Education language of entrepreneurship, knowledge and skill acquisition.
