Eighty (80) randomised undergraduate students of Obafemi Awolowo
University, Ile—Ife, Osun State, comprising Forty (40) males and Forty (40)female subjects were sampled for the study. Issues on the knowledge of literacy Science and Technology were administered through a self-designed 25 item questionnaire on the subjects. The objective was to find out the responses of the subjects to availability of resources and facilities that could increase literacy ability in the family. An assessment ofproblem solving through the application of rudimentary knowledge of Science and Technology were also addressed. From the analysed data, the three hypotheses were rejected. It was found that family literacy, with the acquisition of rudimentary knowledge of Science and Technology are desirable for the development of the Nigeria family through the
media of radio, television, and audio tape.
