The study, a follow-up project. focused on the use of network as a strategy to teach eighty adult women some selected reading skills to enhance their literacy in reading, Some distance learning principles were incorporated into the programme in that the samples stayed in their study centres while both the teaching personnel and other resource materials were rotated. The researcher, as the coordinator, held meetings with both the personnel and
sample representatives every week to discuss problems that arose. Then there was feedback to the participants. Although network as a strategy was relatively new to the teaching of reading. the researcher strongly recommends it.
